At Top This Chocolate, we believe in real foods. We use only luscious premium chocolate made with 100% cocoa butter. The dark chocolate is 61%. There are no chemicals or partially hydrogenated substitutes in our chocolate. The chocolate is of course Fair Trade Certified, non-GMO and gluten free. The toppings are also sourced with the highest quality standards in mind.  We hope you will love the quality of our products as much as we do.

The Entrepreneur

Chocoholic Shana Elson was uninspired by her day job as a litigator and bored with the options for her nightly chocolate fix. The lack of variety led her to innovate at home, experimenting with bold new topping combinations like coconut, banana chips and spicy mango. Since she was taking pastry and chocolatier classes on the weekends, she knew how to make her own concoctions. But how could other hungry chocoholics experience premium personalized chocolate?   

Customization is everywhere in the food world from frozen yogurt to burgers but there is nowhere to specialty order pistachios with cranberries in high quality chocolate.

So the idea for Top This Chocolate was born. Shana quit her job and attended USC Marshall School of Business to combine her confectionary expertise with real world business savvy.  While at USC, she won $25,000 in seed money in the Women's New Venture Pitch Competition. With the vote of the confidence and the money, she decided to go for it. Now, she’s fulfilling her cravings and her dreams by bringing handmade tailored chocolate to the masses from her kitchen in Los Angeles, California.
